Is it possible to be my authentic self if I am not living by the values and priorities I profess? Am I more accurately assessed by the values I profess, or by the way I actually choose to live in each moment? It seems to me that my moment-to-moment choices say more about me than any ideals I might hold up. To live a yogic lifestyle requires a union of values and actions – “walking the talk.” I am authentic only when the differences between my declared values and my actions is reconciled (either by living up to my principles or “getting real” with my principles). Therein lies the work!
